MATERMÀNIA / MATERMANÌA

October 3th 2025 – January 24th 2026

The idea that art is an ethical gesture of exploration and expression of the complexities of our time has given rise to a new cycle of three exhibitions by Atipografia, offering an open and unexpected look at collective themes and experiences, with the aim of rising above the sensibilities of the individual.

Curated by Elena Dal Molin, director of the gallery, and Marco Mioli, the exhibition trilogy begins with the collective exhibition Matermània/Matermanìa, from Friday 3 October 2025 to Saturday 24 January 2026. Through the work of six contemporary artists, the exhibition explores the theme of motherhood, in its intimate dimension and as a universal and collective experience. The project stems from a series of debates that took place in the Gallery between artists, curators and friends of Atipografia. Matermània/Matermanìa is the first episode of a trilogy of exhibitions dedicated to the three-dimensionality of the human being.

The works of Marta Allegri, Mats Bergquist, Gregorio Botta, Diego Soldà, Željana Vidović and Stefano Mario Zatti alternate in a journey that speaks of magic, birth and resistance, between materiality and spirituality. Each work becomes a metaphor for a way of understanding motherhood as a collective act.
